Margaret Louise Holloway, of Mount Auburn, OH, passed away on September 6th, 2025, at the age of 78, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her beloved family.

Born in Mount Auburn in January of 1947, Margaret was the daughter of the late Fredrick and Catherine (Ainsworth) Holloway. She embodied the soul of a strong-willed family woman, offering a steady helping hand and unshakable loyalty to those she loved.

Margaret was a skilled horticulturist who dedicated her work to stopping the spread of infectious plant-borne disease in the 1990s. She enjoyed attempting to solve mystery novels, playing board games with family, and caring for her cherished cat Felix. Above all, she was a devoted mother and steadfast grandmother known for her soft smile and boundless love for those she took under her wing.

Her love for family extended across generations. Margaret is survived by her two children, Paige (Holloway) Browning and her husband Rick; Robert Holloway and his wife Tiffany (Johnson). She also leaves behind six grandchildren- Elise, Rick, Michael, Kaitlyn, Hope, and Fred- her sister Penny and her husband Gary Wilson as well as her nephew John Holloway and niece Lorraine Wilson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fredrick and Catherine (Ainsworth) Holloway, and her brother, Wayne Holloway.

Margaret will forever be remembered by all whose lives she touched, and for how deeply she cared about those around her.

A funeral service will be held at Elizabeth & Sons Funeral Home, 1234 Elizabeth Rd, Mount Auburn, OH, on Saturday, September 13, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., followed by a procession to Elizabeth Cemetery for burial. A reception will follow at Elizabeth Reception Hall. In honor of Margaret, the family asks that guests wear the color green, reflecting her love for the outdoors.
